Overview
A pool, a shallow reef or a snorkeling beach is where this child's inflatable vest does its job. An oral inflator sets the buoyancy, and a removable strap is meant to stop the vest riding up the body.
The reason to buy is a light, packable vest with a pocket and a whistle already built in. The limit is that nothing in the listing states a safety approval or a buoyancy rating.
Who it's for
Children who swim with a vest and an adult in the water, at a pool or a calm snorkel site. Non-swimmers on boats and anyone who needs an approved flotation device should use a certified jacket instead.
Pros and cons
- Oral inflator adjusts buoyancy
- Whistle for signaling
- Front pocket for small items
- Bright orange visibility
- No safety approval stated
- Buoyancy rating not listed
- Material described only as durable
Performance notes
Buoyancy depends on how much air goes in through the oral inflator, so it changes with each blow-up. The strap sets how the vest fits on the torso, and the nylon and TPU outer is what holds the air. Check for leaks before every outing.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Scuba Choice kids snorkel vest a life jacket?
No. The listing calls it a buoyancy aid for water activities and states no Coast Guard approval, so it should not stand in for a certified life jacket.
How do you inflate the Scuba Choice kids vest?
Through the oral inflator, which the listing says allows quick buoyancy adjustments.
What is the removable strap for?
The description says it is there to prevent the vest from riding up.
