A stage-minded twelve-string that plugs straight into a PA with tuner and EQ on board. The round composite back can slide on the lap, so seated players should try the shape first.

Overview
A performer who wants twelve-string shimmer without fighting feedback gets this Ovation guitar with a composite round back, a spruce top and a multi-port soundhole design. An onboard preamp handles tone shaping and tuning on the side of the body.
Built-in EQ, volume and tuner make it ready for live sound with no extra pedals. The composite bowl back feels different from a wooden box and the listing leaves out nut width, which matters a lot on a twelve-string neck.
Who it's for
Singer-songwriters who play amplified rooms get a twelve-string with stage controls and a cutaway for upper frets. Players who want a wooden back and sides or a left-hand guitar will not be served here.
Pros and cons
- Onboard tuner and three-band EQ
- Low-battery light warns before a gig
- Cutaway opens access to upper frets
- Multi-port soundhole design
- Nut width not listed
- Round back can slip when seated
- Composite body, not wood back and sides
Performance notes
Plugged in, the sound depends on the piezo system and preamp rather than the body, so the EQ does most of the shaping. Unplugged, the composite bowl and multiple soundholes push sound toward the player and focus the bass. Twelve strings add tension on the neck, which makes fretting harder for newer hands.
