Overview
Not a universal cartridge, this Golden Icepure pack is cut to match named Maytag, Whirlpool and Kenmore filters. Carbon from coconut shell is the media, and the compatibility list covers dozens of refrigerator models.
A three-pack with a long refrigerator list is the reason to look at it, so a household can stock spares. The limitation is thin performance data, with only herbicide reduction named and no service life or flow rate.
Who it's for
Owners of the listed Maytag and Whirlpool refrigerators who change filters regularly can use the three-pack. Owners of other models should confirm the filter number before ordering, as the pack does not fit everything.
Pros and cons
- Three filters per pack
- Long refrigerator model list
- Coconut shell carbon media
- IAPMO certification listed
- Only herbicide reduction named
- Filter life not given
- No installation steps listed
Performance notes
Water flows through the carbon, which adsorbs the compounds named in the listing, so results depend on swapping the cartridge on time. No flow rate or capacity is listed, so follow the refrigerator's change reminder.
