Overview
A Maytag fridge whose old cartridge has run its course is where this filter fits. It is a coconut shell carbon cartridge listed against Whirlpool EveryDrop and Kenmore numbers too.
The listing names chlorine reduction and carries an IAPMO mark, with a long Maytag model list. It comes as a single unit. The limit is that fit rests on matching the part number.
Who it's for
Owners of listed Maytag refrigerators replacing a single cartridge. Buyers who want spares should look for a pack.
Pros and cons
- Reduces chlorine per listing
- IAPMO certification listed
- Long Maytag model list
- Coconut shell carbon
- Single filter only
- Not an original brand filter
- Filter life not listed
- Fit depends on part number
Performance notes
Water runs through the carbon, which is aimed at chlorine and the taste that goes with it. A good seal at the housing is part of how it performs. Replacement timing follows the refrigerator's reminder.
