Overview
Glacier Fresh makes this carbon block cartridge as a stand-in for the Whirlpool EveryDrop filter and related numbers such as EDR4RXD1, 4396395 and WHR4RXD1. Three come in the pack, and the listing names an extensive list of Maytag refrigerator models it works with.
A multi-pack means the next two changes are already on the shelf. The limitation is thin detail, since filter life, flow rate and micron rating are all absent.
Who it's for
Owners of the listed Maytag models, or of fridges that take the EveryDrop style cartridge, can stock up with a three-pack. Those whose fridge is not on the compatibility list should confirm the part number before buying.
Pros and cons
- Three filters per pack
- Covers many Maytag models
- NSF certification listed
- Food-grade, lead-free materials
- Filter life not listed
- Contaminant reduction details thin
- Compatibility list is very long to check
Performance notes
Water passes through an activated coconut carbon block that reduces chlorine taste and odor. Real results depend on supply water quality and how often the dispenser is used, and the listing gives no flow or capacity figures to measure against.
