Overview
A writing desk or a kitchen table can host this portable electric typewriter, which has a carrying handle and a wide carriage for standard pages. Correction memory, auto underlining and centering are built in.
Typing straight to paper with a short buffer and correction memory gives a forgiving drafting experience. Supplies come in the box, so it can type on arrival. The listing contradicts itself on key count, and the warranty is short.
Who it's for
Writers who like the feel of paper, and students needing typed pages without a computer, will use the correction memory. The carrying handle helps move it between rooms. People who need saved files or printing from a computer will need another device.
Pros and cons
- Correction memory and word correction
- Carrying handle for portability
- Printwheel and ribbon included
- Bold, centering and justification
- Key count conflicts in listing
- Heavy for a portable
Performance notes
A printwheel strikes the correctable ribbon to form each character, and the buffer holds a short run of keystrokes so errors can be fixed before they print. Lift-off tape removes marks left after printing. Typed output depends on ribbon and tape condition.
