Overview
Smith Corona sells the SL480 as a portable electric typewriter, a compact machine meant for home or school typing. The listing gives only the model number, weight and package size.
The listing confirms a portable electric format and a manageable weight, and that is nearly all it states. Ribbon, correction, display and keyboard details are missing, so the feature set is unknown from this page.
Who it's for
A writer or student looking for a basic typewriter for letters and forms may find it useful once the specifications are confirmed. Anyone who needs spell checking or storage should verify those features first.
Pros and cons
- Portable electric format
- Model number clearly identified
- Features not described
- Ribbon type missing
- Warranty terms missing
Performance notes
As an electric typewriter it uses a motor to strike characters, rather than relying on keystroke force alone. Beyond that, the listing does not say how it handles correction, pitch or paper.
