Overview
Snap-button joining lets this Bending Branches Angler Ace paddle break into two pieces for transport and storage. The shaft is carbon, the blades are carbon-reinforced nylon, and the length can be changed.
A light carbon shaft is meant to cut fatigue on long days, and the break-down design helps with car and kayak storage. The listing leaves out blade dimensions, shaft diameter and weight, so power and grip fit are unconfirmed.
Who it's for
Fishing from a loaded kayak and touring trips are the uses the seller names. Whitewater paddlers, or anyone who must compare blade area and weight figures, will find the listing too thin.
Pros and cons
- Carbon shaft, built light
- Carbon-reinforced nylon blades
- Two-piece for easy transport
- Length adjusts to the paddler
- Blade size not listed
- Paddle weight not listed
- Snap-button adjustment steps not described
Performance notes
Shaft weight matters on every stroke, so a carbon shaft reduces the load on shoulders over long hours. Reinforced nylon blades give the power stroke their stiffness, and the two-piece joint sets how the length is locked.
