Overview
Mounting above the cooktop, the Amana over the range microwave moves heating duties off the counter and into the space over the range. Its white finish suits kitchens with white appliances, and the listing supplies little beyond size and weight.
Counter space is the reason to choose an over the range model, and the white finish suits a matching appliance suite. Little else is published here: no wattage, vent, dimensions or controls, so anyone replacing an old unit should confirm the mounting fit with the maker.
Who it's for
Homeowners with a white kitchen and an existing over the range opening get a straightforward replacement. Renters without permission to mount appliances should choose a countertop model.
Pros and cons
- Frees counter space once mounted
- White finish matches white appliances
- Manufacturer warranty included
- Wattage, dimensions and vent specs not listed
- Heavy to lift during installation
- Needs wall mounting above a range
Performance notes
Cooking results depend on microwave output power, which this listing does not state, and on spreading food evenly so it heats through. Mounted over a cooktop, its stability depends on correct bracket installation into the wall.
