Overview
Toner powder fused by a laser engine gives this Brother printer smudge-free text at a fast pace, with automatic two-sided printing. It joins a network over Ethernet or wireless and takes jobs from phones by AirPrint.
High speed and a large tray suit high-volume text printing with few refills. It is a printer only, with no scanning or copying listed in the bullets.
Who it's for
Students, home offices and small teams printing reports and forms in volume. People who also scan or copy should choose an all-in-one.
Pros and cons

Performance notes
Output speed comes from the laser engine, and toner fusing leaves text crisp and resistant to smudging. Paper handling depends on the main tray capacity, which reduces refills on long jobs.
