Overview
BLACK+DECKER builds this corded hedge trimmer for small hedges and shrubs, with a hardened steel dual-action blade, a built-in T-handle and a full-length trigger. The cord retention system helps the plug stay connected during work.
A light body and a dual-action blade that is described as cutting with less vibration make it manageable for routine trimming. The cord retainer reduces accidental unplugging. The limitation is that it is meant for casual use on small hedges, and the listing gives no maximum branch thickness.
Who it's for
A homeowner doing occasional shaping of small hedges who values a light tool and a comfortable grip fits the brief. The cord ties it to an outlet. Those with large or overgrown hedges should look at tools rated for thick growth.
Pros and cons
- Built-in cord retention
- Hardened steel blade
- Cord limits reach
- Branch thickness not listed
- Meant for casual use
Performance notes
The dual-action blade is described as cutting efficiently with less vibration. The T-handle and full-length trigger are there to give control and reduce fatigue. The cord retention system holds the extension cord, but reach is still limited by the cord used.
