Overview
A hedge or row of shrubs that needs long smooth tops can be shaped with this cordless trimmer, which has a dual-action hardened steel blade and a D-grip front handle.
Low weight, reduced vibration and a handle that works at height are the reasons to look, and the battery is shared across the maker's other tools. The limitation is capacity, since the blade teeth catch only small sticks, and run time is not stated.
Who it's for
A homeowner who trims hedges and bushes and wants a light tool that works overhead and from the side will like the D-grip. Existing PowerShare owners can reuse batteries. Heavy pruning belongs to a saw or loppers.
Pros and cons
- Dual-action hardened steel blade
- D-grip front handle
- Battery and charger included
- Shares PowerShare batteries
- Thin branches only
- Run time not listed
- Cutting width shorter than blade
Performance notes
Dual-action blades slice twice, which the seller says reduces vibration and catches twigs. The D-grip lets the tool be held overhead or turned to any angle, and the tooth gap sets the largest stick that can be caught. Battery capacity governs how long trimming lasts.
