Overview
Tracing thin paper over an A4 LED panel lets a child follow a printed line without drawing it freehand. The pad is thin acrylic with adjustable brightness, and the clips hold paper in place.
Portability and simple brightness control make it a good starter light pad. Sheets and clips are included, so tracing can begin right away. Battery type and life are not listed, and weight figures are a little unclear.
Who it's for
Kids from six up and crafters who want an easy way to trace drawings and lettering. The recommended uses include drawing, calligraphy and sewing. Artists working on paper larger than the pad should look at a bigger light box.
Pros and cons
- Very thin acrylic body
- Brightness can be adjusted
- Sheets and clips included
- Battery powered, easy to move
- Only sized for A4 paper
- Battery details not listed
- Not a mains-powered unit
Performance notes
LEDs behind an acrylic panel light thin paper from below, so lines show through for tracing. Brightness control lets users match the light to paper thickness. Thin paper traces best, since thick sheets block the light.
