Overview
Not a violin despite its finish name, the Artcore Expressionist is a semi-hollow electric guitar with a flame maple back and a bound ebony fingerboard. A pair of Super 58 humbuckers gives growling lows and focused highs.
A bright, naturally expressive tone comes from the flame maple construction, and the slim neck is described as easy to play. The listing names only the guitar parts, so plan on buying a cable and case.
Who it's for
Suits a guitarist who wants a classic hollow-style sound from a slim, comfortable neck across many genres. Buyers who need a violin should note this is a guitar despite the sunburst name.
Pros and cons
- Flame maple construction
- Humbucking pickup pair
- Quik Change tailpiece
- No case or cable listed
- Hollow body can feed back
- Pickups named only in description
Performance notes
A semi-hollow maple body adds resonance and air to the sustained notes, and humbuckers cancel hum while pushing the lows and highs. The Gibraltar bridge and Quik Change tailpiece make string changes and tuning steadier.
