Overview
Playing big open chords with twelve string shimmer is what this Ibanez Artwood dreadnought is built for, with an okoume top and an open pore finish that lets the wood breathe. A T-bar undersaddle pickup and preamp with tuner make it stage ready.
Plug-in readiness with both XLR and quarter inch outputs makes it practical on stage, and the onboard tuner helps with twelve strings. The open pore finish feels natural. The listing's description mixes in details from other models.
Who it's for
Folk, rock and worship players adding a twelve string sound live. Right-handed buyers should confirm orientation first.
Pros and cons
- Twelve string shimmer
- XLR and quarter inch outputs
- Open pore finish
- Wide nut for doubled courses
- Hand orientation listed as left
- Description mixes other models
- Case not listed
Performance notes
Twelve strings add load to the neck and top, so setup matters for playability. The undersaddle pickup captures both courses evenly when plugged in. An open pore finish adds less mass, which helps the top vibrate.
