Overview
Ovente's KS58R heats 1.7 liters of water with a 1100W element and five preset temperatures from 140F to 212F, adding a 2-hour keep-warm mode and auto shut-off with boil-dry protection.
The five temperature presets are aimed at matching water heat to what's being brewed, from delicate teas to a full boil for coffee, with an LED color at the base indicating the selected setting. It detaches cordlessly from its base for pouring, and buyers use it for tasks beyond tea and coffee, including instant soup and oatmeal.
- 1.7L stainless steel capacity
- 1100W element with 5 temperature presets (140-212F)
- 2-hour keep warm mode
- Auto shut-off and boil-dry protection
Who it's for
Fits anyone who wants temperature-specific water for different teas and coffee without guessing, or a household replacing an older kettle. Less useful if you only ever need a single boil-and-pour with no temperature control.
Pros and cons
- Five preset temperatures suited to different teas and coffee
- Boils quickly with a 1100W element
- Keep-warm mode maintains heat for up to 2 hours
- Cordless base for easier pouring
- Touch controls feel less intuitive than a dial to some users
- At least one buyer went through multiple units over time
Performance notes
Boil-dry protection and auto shut-off engage once the kettle reaches boiling temperature or runs empty, and the keep-warm mode reboils automatically once water drops to around 185F.
