Overview
A 52cm anti-burst balance ball mounted on a caster base, sold as an active-sitting alternative to a standard desk chair for users between 5 feet and 5 feet 11 inches tall.
One detail buyers should plan for: the ball needs a short break-in period. The maker recommends inflating it, letting it sit for 24 hours, deflating it partway, then refilling to its final 52cm height before it reaches full size.
- 52cm anti-burst exercise ball
- 5 easy-glide lockable casters
- 300 pound weight capacity
- Includes air pump and exercise guide
Who it's for
Suited to office workers within the stated 5 foot to 5 foot 11 height range who want to add core engagement to desk sitting on a standard-height desk. It won't fit well for anyone outside that height range or working at a non-standard desk height.
Pros and cons
- Lockable casters keep chair in place
- Swivel base option available
- Pump and exercise guide included
- Ball needs a break-in inflation process first
- Only fits users within a set height range
Performance notes
Sitting on the ball engages the core to maintain balance, while the five lockable casters keep the chair from rolling away when you need it stationary. The base was redesigned for added stability compared to earlier versions.
