Overview
Built for small footprints such as dorm rooms, apartments and RVs, the Avanti STW16D0W is a 1.7 cubic foot top load portable washer with separate hot and cold water inlets rather than a single faucet adapter. It runs six wash cycles with three temperature and three load size choices.
The catch is that this is not a sealed, self-contained washer: overfilling it can send water over the rim onto the floor, so load size needs some attention.
- 1.7 cu ft stainless steel tub with bottom pulsator wash action
- Three water temperature and three load size selections
- ADA compliant freestanding design, 36.75 x 20.25 x 20.75 inches
- Electronic controls with extra rinse and delay start
Who it's for
Good for anyone in a dorm, apartment, condo or RV who needs a washer that connects to real plumbing but doesn't have space for a full-size machine. Not the right pick for households that regularly wash large or bulky loads like comforters at full capacity.
Pros and cons
- Separate hot and cold water inlets, not a faucet adapter
- Six cycles cover normal, delicate, bulky and quick loads
- Counter-height footprint fits tight apartment or RV spaces
- Soft close lid and control lock-out add convenience
- Not self-contained, can spill water if overloaded
- Only 1.7 cu ft capacity, limited for large loads
