A workable ventless dryer for small loads in a rental or RV, but treat the marketed 10 pound capacity skeptically since the unit's own labeling and reviewer experience point closer to 5.5 pounds.

Overview
The Costway GYJ25-78 is a ventless compact dryer with a stainless steel tub, 850 watt heater and four drying modes, built to sit on a counter or mount to a wall in an apartment or dorm.
- Four modes: Cool, Warm, Hot, Air Dry
- Stainless steel drum
- 37.3 lb unit weight
- Wall bracket and mounting hardware included
Who it's for
Fits renters, dorm residents, or RV owners without a vent hookup who are drying small loads. Not a match for anyone expecting to dry full-size laundry loads regularly.
Pros and cons
- No exhaust duct required
- Quiet enough to run during normal activity
- Wall or rack mountable to save floor space
- Plugs into a standard three-prong outlet
- Real-world capacity runs smaller than the advertised 10 pounds
- No buzzer or alert when a cycle finishes
- Some units arrive with dented corners
Performance notes
The 850 watt heater and stainless tub run through four modes: Cool for 0 to 20 minutes, Warm for 30 to 120 minutes, a Hot setting up to 200 minutes for bulkier items, and an Air Dry cycle to freshen clothes without heat. It has no vent, so warm exhaust air stays in the room rather than venting outside, which several buyers mention as a side benefit in cold weather.
