It genuinely dries clothes without ductwork, but treat the tripod base as fragile and set it on a firm, flat surface rather than carpet.

Overview
A ventless drying rack built around a warm air motor and a zip-up cover bag, meant to substitute for a vented dryer in apartments, dorms and other spaces without hookups. Hangers and a bracket are included, so the bag also works as a mini closet between loads.
This is not a tumble dryer; clothes hang inside the bag while warm air (up to 60C) circulates around them on a timer of 30 to 180 minutes.
- Ventless warm air drying, no ductwork needed
- 30 to 180 minute adjustable timer, inner temp to 60C
- Zip cover bag doubles as a mini wardrobe
- Hangers and mounting bracket included
Who it's for
Renters and dorm residents without a vent hookup, or anyone needing a stopgap while a full-size dryer is out of service. Best suited to small loads rather than a household's full wash.
Pros and cons
- Works in apartments, dorms and offices with no venting required
- Hangers and bracket included, so the bag doubles as a closet
- Low upfront cost compared to a built-in dryer
- Tripod legs can wobble or collapse if not on a firm, level surface
- Build quality is cheap in places, including reports of a busted zipper
- May need a second cycle for heavily wet loads
Performance notes
The warm air motor pushes heated air (to about 60C) through the sealed cover bag rather than tumbling clothes, with a manual timer from 30 to 180 minutes and no open flame.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Costway 23597-CYEP need to be vented outside?
No, it is a ventless system: warm air circulates inside a zipped cover bag around hung clothes, so it doesn't need ductwork.
Is it stable enough to leave running unattended?
Several report the tripod legs sliding or the unit tipping unless placed on a firm, non-slip surface, so it's worth checking on during a cycle rather than fully unattended.
