Overview
Not a hang-on or a climber, this Big Game Hunter HD 1.5 is a one-person ladder stand in steel. A padded shooting rail adjusts for sitting hunters, and a Flex-Tek seat contours to the back and legs.
The wide, deep platform and seat suit rifle hunters who sit and bow hunters who stand, with a rail that slides away. The height is given as three slightly different figures across the listing.
Who it's for
Deer hunters using a ladder stand on a tree within the listed diameter range are the target. Hunters who move often should choose a hang-on stand.
Pros and cons
- Wide, deep platform
- Adjustable padded shooting rail
- Heavy to carry
- Height listed three ways
- One person only
Performance notes
A ladder stand spreads the load down the frame to the ground, and the weight rating covers the hunter and gear. The shooting rail slides back and the seat flips back to open the platform for standing.
