Overview
Pressing down on the propeller sends this red VTech helicopter rolling across the floor, which gives a baby a reason to crawl after it. Two buttons introduce letters, numbers, colors and animals, and a cat pilot twists.
Cause and effect is the point: a push sets it moving and a motion sensor in the wheels triggers sounds, music and phrases. The weak spot is the battery, which ships for demonstration only.
Who it's for
Babies and young toddlers at the crawling stage on a smooth indoor floor. Older children will outgrow it quickly, and a shag carpet will slow the rolling.
Pros and cons
- Rolls forward on propeller press
- Motion sensor in the wheels
- Buttons teach letters and colors
- Twisting cat pilot for fine motor skills
- Battery meant for demo only
- Indoor use only
- Outgrown after the toddler stage
Performance notes
A motion sensor in the wheels plays helicopter sounds, music and phrases as the toy rolls. Pushing the propeller down launches it forward, and a smooth floor gives the longest roll.
