Overview
Filming hands-free is the point of this AKASO action camera, which starts recording on voice command and smooths shake with electronic stabilization. A touch screen sets wide, medium or narrow view, and the case takes it diving.
Voice control and a touch screen make it easier to run than button-only cameras when your hands are busy. Digital zoom loses detail as you push it.
Who it's for
Outdoor sports, travel and water activities. Users wanting close-up detail at distance should look at optical zoom cameras.
Pros and cons
- Voice commands for hands-free use
- Touch screen controls
- Adjustable view angle
- Waterproof case and mounts included
- Digital zoom only
- Needs a fast microSD card
Performance notes
EIS predicts motion and shifts the frame to counter shake, which smooths footage but crops slightly. Higher frame rates need fast card writes, so card speed decides whether recording runs without errors.
