Overview
Longang's handheld luggage scale hooks onto a bag handle and gives a backlit LCD reading in pounds or kilograms, rated up to 110 lb / 50 kg.
You loop the nylon strap and steel hook around a bag handle, lift and hold steady for about 2 seconds, and the reading locks so you can read it at ease. It has tare/zero, an lb-kg toggle and auto-off to save the included battery. The maker's own notes are candid that a handheld hook scale is inherently less precise than a platform or kitchen scale, since holding it perfectly still is difficult.
- 110 lb / 50 kg capacity, 0.1 lb graduation
- Backlit LCD with auto-off
- Nylon strap and steel hook
- Tare/zero function with lb-kg conversion
Who it's for
Travelers who want a quick pre-flight weight check to dodge overweight baggage fees; not for anyone who needs lab-grade repeatable accuracy.
Pros and cons
- Reading locks automatically after a steady 2-second hold
- Switches between lb and kg with tare/zero function
- Backlit display with auto-off to save battery
- Manufacturer states handheld hook scales are less precise than platform scales
- Battery cover needs a small screwdriver to open (one is included)
Performance notes
The scale locks its reading automatically once weight is applied and held steady, so you don't have to watch the display while lifting. Auto-off and a low-battery indicator manage the included battery, and the backlit LCD stays readable in dim rooms or hallways.
