Overview
This 3-pack targets one specific Samsung filter housing, HAF-QIN/EXP, as an aftermarket alternative to Samsung's own DA97-17376B and DA97-08006C filters. It fits a defined list of Samsung French door and side-by-side refrigerators and is not compatible with the DA29-00020B (HAF-CIN) housing.
Compatibility is the whole story here: the listing states plainly that this filter fits the HAF-QIN/EXP housing only, so checking your fridge's existing filter part number before ordering matters more than any other spec. Real-world filter life reported by owners ranges from about 30 days to 6 months depending on household water use.
- NSF/ANSI 42 and 372 certified
- BPA free construction
- 3-pack covers roughly a year of use for most households
- Compatible with a wide list of RF-series Samsung models
Who it's for
Samsung refrigerator owners who have confirmed their model uses the HAF-QIN/EXP housing and want a cheaper alternative to Samsung-branded filters are the fit here. Anyone with a HAF-CIN (DA29-00020B) housing should look elsewhere, this filter will not fit that system.
Pros and cons
- Fits like the OEM Samsung filter when housing matches
- Noticeably reduces chlorine taste and odor
- Multipack lowers per-filter cost versus Samsung brand
- Will not fit the HAF-CIN (DA29-00020B) housing
- Requires some force to twist in or out
- Does not lower TDS readings
