Overview
A backyard cook shopping for a pellet grill with electric control gets the Ironwood here, listed with AC power and wood pellet fuel. The outer body is alloy steel and the inner is steel.
AC power and wood pellets pair automatic feed with wood flavor, and the probe and warranty come with it. Cooking area, hopper size and controller features are not given.
Who it's for
A household that wants a pellet grill for regular patio cooking. Campers and anyone away from power should look at a non-electric cooker.
Pros and cons
- AC powered feed
- Wired meat probe included
- Assembly instructions with tools
- Needs an outlet
- Cooking area not listed
- Heavy for moving
Performance notes
AC power runs the pellet feed and controller, so temperature is regulated by how fast pellets burn. The wired probe reads inside the food, and without a stated temperature range the upper heat limit is unknown.
