Overview
Throwing, catching and dodging with this blue foam ball is easy for small hands, since it has a low density foam core under a non-sting polyurethane coating. The surface is molded rather than stitched.
Softness is the reason to choose it for young players, and the coating is aimed at avoiding sting. The listing gives no firmness test, and no inflation is involved because it is all foam.
Who it's for
Gym classes, daycares and backyard games for younger children who need a soft ball. Older kids and competitive dodgeball leagues should use a firmer ball.
Pros and cons
- Low density foam core
- Latex-free per the description
- Molded, no stitching to fray
- Too soft for older players
- One ball only
- Blue only in this listing
Performance notes
A light foam core limits impact, and the polyurethane skin gives a grippable, non-stinging surface. The ball flies slower than a firm dodgeball, which is the intent for young players.
