Overview
A braided fishing line spool rated at 80 lb test and 600 yards, about 1800 feet, finished in blue and weighing roughly 6.4 ounces.
MOMOI is a line manufacturer whose braided products are commonly used at this heavier test range for freshwater and inshore fishing. Both the category and technique fields mark this as braided, so that is what is described here even though one material field in the raw data does not match.
- 600 yards, about 1800 feet
- 80 lb test
- Braided technique
- Blue color
Who it's for
Anglers who need a heavy 80 lb braided line for bigger fish or fishing near structure, not those running light tackle or a fluorocarbon leader.
Pros and cons
- 80 lb test suits heavy-duty fishing
- 600 yard spool length
- Blue color for above-water visibility
- Listing data includes a material field that conflicts with the stated braided technique
- 80 lb test is heavier than needed for light tackle fishing
Performance notes
At 80 lb test with a thin diameter relative to that strength, this line is built to handle pressure from bigger fish and abrasion near structure better than a comparable monofilament at the same test weight.
