Overview
A tri-core processor and four antennas drive the ASUS gaming router, pushing wide-channel Wi-Fi to fast devices while still handling older ones. One LAN port is set aside for gaming and gets priority automatically, and RGB lighting can follow router modes.
Gaming port priority, lifetime security and mesh expansion give it more than raw speed. Coverage is not specified, so large homes should plan for an extra AiMesh router.
Who it's for
Console and PC gamers, streamers and busy families get prioritized gaming traffic and built-in protection. Owners of large multi-story homes should plan a mesh setup from the start.
Pros and cons
- Fast Wi-Fi 6 with wide channels
- Dedicated gaming port
- Lifetime AiProtection Pro
- Shareable VPN for travel
- Coverage area not stated
Performance notes
Wide channels give compatible devices the highest wireless speeds, while older devices connect on their own standards. The tri-core processor handles security scanning and traffic priority alongside routing. Plugging a console into the gaming port moves its traffic to the front of the queue.
