Overview
Ludwig builds the Classic Oak around hybrid shells that sandwich a maple core between plies of hard oak, adding punch and articulation to the classic Ludwig response. Sharp bearing edges help the heads speak, and the finish is vintage black oyster.
Recording ready tone is the case for it, since the oak outer plies give the kind of focus engineers often add with EQ. A three piece layout suits rock and vintage styles. The floor tom size and included hardware are not spelled out.
Who it's for
Gigging and recording drummers who favor a stripped down setup and already own a snare and hardware. New drummers should look for a full kit.
Pros and cons

Performance notes
Hard oak outer plies add attack and focus while the maple core holds warmth, giving a controlled, punchy note. Sharp edges let the heads respond more fully. Fewer drums mean less to mic and a faster setup.
