Overview
The Maven RF.1, model RF1, is a hunting rangefinder rated for 5 to 4500 yards with angle compensation, sold direct to consumer without retail markup. It targets bowhunters and rifle hunters who need long-range distance readings in the field.
Maven positions this as the entry point into its optics line, built with the same materials approach as its higher-tier S, B and RS series. The unconditional lifetime warranty and manual gain brightness control are the details that stand out beyond the raw range spec.
- 5 to 4500 yard rated range with angle compensation
- Waterproof, fogproof, scratch resistant lens coatings
- Tripod adaptable mount
- Direct-to-consumer pricing with lifetime warranty
Who it's for
Fits hunters ranging game or targets at distance, from bowhunters needing shorter precise reads to rifle hunters pushing well past 1000 yards. Less suited to buyers who need ballistic calculator or Kestrel integration, since this unit doesn't pair with those.
Pros and cons
- Reads fast at close and medium range by owner accounts
- Confirmed accurate on animals well past 1000 yards
- Manual gain brightness control liked as a real feature, not a drawback
- Unconditional lifetime warranty regardless of fault
- Does not connect to ballistic calculators or Kestrel devices
- Range on black or non-reflective animals takes more effort to lock
