Overview
A puppy dental starter kit pairing fluoride-free enzymatic toothpaste, made with baking soda and calcium, in a peanut butter flavor, plus a toothbrush and a microfiber finger brush. Built for puppies and small dogs starting a brushing routine.
The formula is fluoride-free, which matters for puppies since fluoride toothpaste is not meant to be swallowed and pets cannot spit. Baking soda and calcium are the named active ingredients for tartar control rather than a prescription-strength formula. Including both a standard brush and a microfiber option gives an owner two ways to introduce brushing to a puppy that may resist a bristled brush at first.
- 2.5 oz peanut butter flavored toothpaste
- Baking soda and calcium formula
- Toothbrush and microfiber brush included
- Fluoride-free
Who it's for
Owners starting a dental care routine with a puppy or small dog who want a full kit rather than buying toothpaste and a brush separately. Less useful for an adult dog already tolerant of brushing, where a single tube would suffice.
Pros and cons
- Includes both a bristle brush and microfiber finger brush
- Fluoride-free formula, safer for swallowing
- Peanut butter flavor aids puppy acceptance
- Gentler formula, not for advanced tartar buildup
- Sized for puppies and small dogs only
Performance notes
Baking soda and calcium work as mild abrasives and neutralizers for tartar control, a gentler approach than an enzymatic formula built around stronger active ingredients. Being fluoride-free matters because dogs swallow toothpaste rather than spitting it out, so the formula avoids an ingredient not meant for regular ingestion. The microfiber finger brush gives a lower-resistance starting point for puppies not yet used to a bristled brush.
