Overview
A three-pack refrigerator water filter built to replace Samsung's DA29-00020B and DA29-00020A/B cartridges. Uses coconut-shell activated carbon rated across five NSF/ANSI standards for lead, PFAS-family chemicals and chlorine taste. Suits households cycling filters every six months.
This is a compatibility part, not a standalone appliance, so the fit list matters more than any other spec on the page. Icepure lists direct swaps for models like RF25HMEDBSR, RF28HDEDBSR, RS25J500DSR and the Kenmore 9101 and 46-9101 cartridges, plus several RFG and RS26x series units. Match your existing filter's part number against this list rather than assuming compatibility from the refrigerator model alone, since Samsung reused several body styles across filter generations.
- Three-pack covers about a year and a half on a six-month cycle
- Certified against five separate NSF/ANSI standards
- Precision-molded connector aimed at preventing leaks
- BPA-free, food-grade housing material
Who it's for
Fits households running one or more Samsung or Kenmore refrigerators listed in the compatible-models spec, especially anyone who wants a year and a half of filters in one order. Not for shoppers who cannot confirm their filter housing or part number against the OEM cross-reference list.
Pros and cons
- Requires flushing several gallons before water clarity improves
- One buyer's TDS readings drifted upward within six months
Performance notes
The filter uses NSF/ANSI 401, 473 and 53 certification to target pharmaceutical residue, PFOA/PFOS and heavy metals like lead, on top of the 42 and 372 standards common to basic filters for chlorine taste and lead-free materials. A reviewer who tested water with a TDS meter needed to run several gallons through, beyond the printed instructions, before readings matched or beat tap water; a six-month follow-up check from another buyer showed filtration already trending downward.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Icepure PRO fit the Samsung DA29-00020B filter housing?
Yes, it is built as a direct replacement for DA29-00020B, DA29-00020A/B and DA29-00020B-1, along with the HAF-CIN/EXP filters.
How often should this filter be changed?
Icepure sizes it for a six-month cycle, and the three-pack is meant to cover roughly a year and a half of use.
Do I need to flush the filter before using the water?
Yes. A reviewer measuring with a TDS meter needed several extra gallons run through beyond the printed instructions before readings matched tap water.
