Overview
A set of 8 Apple Barrel acrylic craft paints in 8 fluid ounce bottles, covering white, bright yellow, pink parfait, bright red, Caribbean, spring green, purple iris, and black. Each color dries to a matte finish and is made in the USA.
The 8 oz bottle size sets this apart from Apple Barrel's smaller 2 oz craft bottles, giving more paint per color for larger projects or classroom use. It brushes onto wood, paper, canvas, styrofoam, and paper mache, and cleans up with soap and water while still wet.
- 8 colors in 8 fl oz bottles each
- Matte finish on drying
- Works on wood, paper, canvas, styrofoam, and paper mache
- Made in the USA
Who it's for
Suits crafters, teachers, and hobbyists covering larger or multiple projects who want a matte finish across a basic color range. Not the pick for anyone needing glossy, metallic, or specialty finishes.
Pros and cons
- Large 8 oz bottles cover more surface per color
- Dries to a consistent matte finish
- Works on wood, paper, canvas, styrofoam, and paper mache
- Cleans up with soap and water while wet
- Matte finish only, no gloss or metallic options in this set
- 8 assorted colors limit mixing options compared to a full palette
Performance notes
Each color glides on smoothly and dries quickly to a matte finish on porous surfaces like wood, paper, and canvas, and the same water-based formula wipes off tools and surfaces with soap and water before it sets. The 8 oz bottle size means less frequent refilling than the smaller 2 oz bottles Apple Barrel also sells.
