Overview
Clipping it to a helmet, sinking it in its dive housing or holding it for a vlog, this Minolta camcorder covers the usual action jobs with a wide lens. A rotating lens head changes angles without moving the mount.
Everything needed to start, from the case to mounts and a memory card, comes in the box. Stabilization is digital, the screen is small, and the spec sheet and description disagree on photo resolution.
Who it's for
Families, teens and travellers who want to film adventures without buying extras. Serious action filmers chasing smooth footage at speed should look at a camera with advanced stabilization.
Pros and cons
- Rotating lens head for flexible angles
- Dive case included
- Memory card and mounts in the box
- Wi-Fi app preview and control
- Digital stabilization only
- Small preview screen
- Photo resolution listed inconsistently
Performance notes
A very wide lens hides shake and fits more into frame but bends straight lines at the edges. Slow motion trades resolution for frame rate. Digital stabilization crops the image to smooth motion, which softens detail, and image quality drops in dim light.
