Overview
Printing from a phone or laptop over Wi-Fi is the core job of this Brother monochrome laser. Pages feed from a single front tray, the duplex unit flips them automatically, and a one line LCD handles setup.
Footprint and speed make the case: it fits on a shelf and still turns out text pages quickly on both sides. There is no scanner, copier or document feeder, so it covers printing and nothing else.
Who it's for
Students and remote workers who print forms and reports in black and want a small machine on the network. Households that scan receipts or print photos need an all in one or a color model.
Pros and cons
- Small footprint for shelves
- Automatic two-sided printing
- Wi-Fi Direct prints without a router
- Handles Letter, Legal and smaller sizes
- Print only, no scan or copy
- No automatic document feeder
- Single tray, no multipurpose slot listed
Performance notes
Text speed comes from the laser engine feeding from one tray, and the duplex unit pulls each sheet back for the second side. Wi-Fi Direct lets a phone connect without a router, while USB stays the fallback when wireless is not available.
