Overview
A tofu-based clumping cat litter sold as four 5.3 lb bags (about 21.2 lbs and 24 liters total), designed to be flushable and to dissolve in water rather than tracking as dust around the litter box.
Tofu litter is a plant-based clumping alternative to clay, and pidan markets the material's flushability and low dust as its main selling points over conventional litters. The four-bag count spreads out storage rather than one large bag.
- 100% tofu ingredient litter
- Clumping and flushable
- 4 bags, 5.3 lbs each
- 24 liters total capacity
Who it's for
Cat owners wanting a plant-based, flushable litter with less dust than clay, especially in homes with plumbing that tolerates flushable litter. Not for households wanting the heaviest clumping weight of traditional clay litter.
Pros and cons
- Flushable, water-soluble tofu formula
- Low dust during use
- Four bags split up storage and freshness
- Total weight (21.2 lbs) is lighter than comparable clay litter multi-packs
Performance notes
The tofu pellets are formulated to clump for scooping while also being soluble enough to break down in water, which is what enables flushing. pidan markets the material as dust-free during pouring and scooping compared to clay litters.
