Overview
A folding 3-step steel step stool from Golyton rated for 500 lbs, built for reaching kitchen cabinets, closets and garage shelving, then folding down to about 1.6 inches thick for storage.
The frame is steel rather than the lighter aluminum used on many step stools, so it carries a 500 lb rating at 11.3 lbs of its own weight. It folds to 44.5 x 20.1 x 1.6 inches, thin enough to slide behind a door or into a closet. A safety buckle locks the legs open automatically, and a rear metal brace adds support once it is set up.
- 500 lb load capacity, steel frame
- Folded size 44.5 x 20.1 x 1.6 in
- Anti-slip pedals + rubber feet
- 1 year warranty
Who it's for
Households and offices that need a compact 3-step stool for cabinets, pantries and light garage work, and want it to fold flat for storage between uses. Not built as a taller multi-position ladder for higher reaches.
Pros and cons

Performance notes
Open, the ladder measures 40.9 x 26.8 x 20.1 inches with widened pedals that have an anti-slip particle surface, plus rubber ladder feet meant to keep full contact with the floor. The safety buckle locks automatically once the legs are spread, and a metal support brace on the back reinforces the frame under load. Folded, it drops to 1.6 inches of depth, which is the main space-saving point in the listing.
