Overview
At 6.2 lbs, the Taranta L-02 packs a 330 lb load rating into an aluminum 2-step folding stool finished in black woodgrain, built to fold flat for tight storage spots in a household or office.
The one reservation raised is that it is meant to stand upright without support, which one owner with pets around the house found unreliable and had to lean against a wall instead.
- Aluminum 2-step stool, 330 lb rated capacity
- Folds to about 25.98 x 18.1 x 1.97 in at 6.2 lbs
- Top step height of 17.72 in
- Side stabilizing bars and rubber-capped feet
Who it's for
Good for anyone who wants a lightweight step stool that slides into a narrow cabinet or closet, including older adults and larger-bodied users based on reviewer feedback. Less ideal in a busy household with pets or kids likely to bump it over when it is left standing on its own.
Pros and cons
- Not designed to stay upright unsupported around pets or kids
- 9 in step spacing may feel high for very short users
- Black woodgrain finish is a styling choice, not a neutral metal tone
Performance notes
Both aluminum steps use a widened, textured surface for foot grip, with rubber-capped feet to resist shifting and protect flooring. Side stabilizing bars support the open frame, and at 6.2 lbs the whole unit folds to about 25.98 x 18.1 x 1.97 inches, arrives assembled, and opens or closes in seconds without tools.
