Overview
Folded down, the HBTower TJ042JAH is barely two inches thick: an aluminum 2-step stool in black woodgrain finish, weighing 6.7 lbs and rated for 330 lbs of load, built for quick reach in a kitchen, office or closet.
It arrives fully assembled and opens or folds within seconds, landing at about 16.5 x 18.4 x 23.7 inches open and folding down to roughly 25.2 x 16.5 x 2.2 inches, thin enough for under a bed or beside a wall. HBTower also lists it as a stand-in plant stand when not used as a step.
- Lightweight aluminum 2-step stool at 6.7 lbs
- Folds to about 25.2 x 16.5 x 2.2 in
- 330 lb rated load capacity
- Doubles as a plant stand when folded
Who it's for
Fits anyone who wants a light, fold-flat 2-step stool for household, kitchen or office use, and who does not mind it doubling as decor when folded away. Not the pick for taller reaches beyond two steps.
Pros and cons
- Weighs only 6.7 lbs
- Folds to about 2.2 in thick
- Fully assembled, opens or folds in seconds
- 330 lb rated capacity
- Only 2 steps of height
- Woodgrain finish is a styling choice, not a neutral metal look
Performance notes
A triangular frame design is meant to distribute load across the base, with widened, textured pedals and large rubber feet aimed at keeping full ground contact so it stays planted and does not mark floors. The folding mechanism is built to collapse to about 2.2 inches thick without tools.
