Overview
Golfers who want their own text on the ball get the TaylorMade Distance+ in yellow, a two layer distance ball with a REACT speed core. Low drag aerodynamics and a Plus alignment aid round out the design.
Personalization is the reason to order this version, making balls easy to identify or give as gifts. The core and aero design favor speed off every club. Spin around the green is not a focus.
Who it's for
Recreational golfers, gift buyers and anyone who wants their name or a message on a dozen balls. Players who shape shots and chase spin around the green should look at a multi-layer tour ball.
Pros and cons
- Custom text on every ball
- Bright yellow is easy to find
- Fast REACT speed core
- Low driver spin
- Text length is limited
- Little greenside spin emphasis
- Two layer only
Performance notes
Distance comes from the speed core and low drag dimple pattern, which keep driver spin down and flight long. A two layer build gives up the spin separation that multi layer tour balls offer on wedges. The alignment aid helps square the putter.
