Overview
A solo videographer or small news crew gets a compact UHD camcorder with a long optical zoom and a stabilized lens, carrying features usually found on a full-size camera. This bundle adds a Panasonic battery, a SanDisk card, a UV filter and cleaning tools.
Getting a pro camcorder with an integrated zoom lens and enough accessories to start shooting on arrival is what this bundle offers. Its limits: the listing gives no detail on audio inputs, the card list stops at SDHC, and the extras come from a third party bundler, not Panasonic.
Who it's for
Event shooters, small production teams and school broadcast clubs get a camcorder that covers wide shots and distant subjects without changing lenses. Those who need weather sealing or a cinema lens mount should look at a different camera.
Pros and cons
- Long optical zoom on one lens
- Optical stabilization built into the lens
- Records UHD and full HD to MP4
- Bundle includes battery and charger
- Not water resistant
- Audio input details not listed
- Card types stop at SDHC
- Bundle extras from a third party
Performance notes
Image steadiness comes from optical stabilization inside the zoom lens, which matters most at the long end where small shakes are magnified. The MOS sensor and the aperture range decide low light results. Recording time per card depends on the resolution chosen and the card capacity.
