Overview
Not a mesh drum kit, the Donner roll-up pad is a silicone mat with seven drum and cymbal zones, built-in speakers and two foot pedals. Kids can play along with demo songs, record ideas and plug in headphones for quiet practice.
It rolls up into a bag and plays anywhere, making it a light first step into drumming. Every hit sounds the same volume, which limits real technique practice.
Who it's for
Kids, families and gamers who want rhythm fun with MIDI out. Serious students should use a velocity-sensitive kit.
Pros and cons
- Rolls up for storage
- Built-in stereo speakers
- MIDI and USB MIDI
- Pedals and sticks included
- No velocity response
- Lessons require contacting support
Performance notes
Silicone pads damp stick noise, while the fixed strike level means dynamics come from volume settings rather than playing. MIDI output lets computer software supply better sounds.
