Overview
Roland packs V-Drums sound and playability into a compact kit with a responsive mesh snare and features that cut noise at home. Its module holds ready-to-play kits and built-in coach sessions, and a wide layout mimics an acoustic set.
Quiet practice with real drum feel on the snare is the reason to buy, which suits apartments and shared homes. The coach functions guide steady progress. Only the snare is mesh, and several basics are sold separately.
Who it's for
New players, returning drummers and families with limited space. Experienced drummers wanting full mesh pads and more kits should look higher in the range.
Pros and cons
- Authentic V-Drums sound
- Mesh snare head
- Noise reducing design
- Acoustic style layout
- Throne and sticks needed
- Bluetooth adaptor sold separately
- Rubber pads apart from snare
Performance notes
The mesh snare head responds to dynamics like an acoustic drum while making far less noise than a real shell. The module's kits and coach set what you can practice. Noise reduction lowers thumps through the floor, though kick pedal impact still carries.
