Overview
Bedrooms and apartments with neighbors nearby are where the Alesis Nitro Max fits, an electric kit with quiet mesh heads on a foldable four-post rack. The module plays BFD drum sounds, streams music over Bluetooth and connects to a computer by USB MIDI.
Quiet mesh heads, strong built-in sounds and Drumeo lessons make it a full starter package. Sticks, a key, kick pedal and power supply are in the box. Pad and cymbal sizes are compact, and a throne and headphones are not listed.
Who it's for
Suited to new drummers practicing at home without disturbing others. Advanced players may want larger pads and a more responsive hi-hat.
Pros and cons
- Quiet mesh heads
- Drumeo lessons included
- Sticks, key and pedal included
- Small pads and cymbals
- Throne and headphones not listed
- Drumeo access is time limited
Performance notes
Mesh heads give a natural rebound with far less acoustic noise than rubber or acoustic drums. The dual-zone snare triggers different sounds for head and rim, and multi-velocity samples change tone with how hard you hit.
