Overview
A school hallway locker or a short city commute is where the Pocket Rocket fits in: Arbor built it as a mini cruiser complete that is small enough to stash between rides. Soft Venice Formula wheels soak up pavement chatter, and a carbonized bamboo topsheet covers the deck.
Portability is the reason to choose it: a short deck that tucks away fast, with soft wheels that smooth out rough streets. The carbonized bamboo topsheet gives it a finished look. The limitation is size, since the small deck offers little room for bigger feet and the truck model goes unnamed.
Who it's for
Young riders rolling to class or around the neighborhood get a light complete that is easy to carry indoors. Grown riders with big feet, or skaters after a trick deck, should choose a larger board.
Pros and cons
- Small enough to stash anywhere
- Soft wheels absorb pavement chatter
- Carbonized bamboo topsheet
- Sold complete, ready to ride
- Truck model and width not listed
- Little foot room for adult riders
- Short wheelbase feels twitchy at speed
Performance notes
Ride comfort on rough pavement comes from the soft, grippy wheels, which absorb chatter before it reaches the deck. The short wheelbase makes the board turn quickly but feel less settled at speed. The maple and bamboo layup sets deck stiffness and pop.
