Overview
Not a compact practice kit, this Roland V-Drums Acoustic Design set is a full-size five-piece electronic set with wood shells, wraps and double-braced chrome stands. The Roland module and digital snare, hi-hat and ride give acoustic-style response.
Stage presence of a real kit with electronic control suits gigging drummers and churches. Key hardware is sold separately, which adds to the setup list.
Who it's for
Working drummers and venues that need volume control without losing the look of a real kit. New players needing a complete package should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Full-size wood shells
- Digital snare, hi-hat and ride
- Double-braced chrome stands
- Multichannel USB audio
- Kick pedal and throne sold separately
- Snare and hi-hat stands extra

Performance notes
Full-depth shells and real-size pads give the stick feel and reach of an acoustic setup. The digital pads sense position and force, so expression depends on module settings.
