Overview
An office manager who needs fast black and white output for a team gets a Kyocera ECOSYS mono laser that prints, copies and scans. A large touchscreen runs the menus, and optional security features protect the network and stored data.
High speed with large paper capacity suits departments that print reports all day. It is mono only, and wireless connectivity is not mentioned.
Who it's for
Legal, accounting and admin teams with steady mono output get speed and capacity. Marketing teams printing color material need a color model.
Pros and cons
- Very fast mono printing
- Large paper capacity
- Big touchscreen panel
- Automatic two-sided printing
- No color output
- Wi-Fi not listed
- Heavy at fifty pounds
Performance notes
Throughput comes from a fast mono engine and a quick first-page time, so short jobs return almost as fast as long ones. Duplex printing slows each sheet slightly because it passes through twice.
