Overview
Greenworks builds this cordless pole saw around a brushless motor on a long pole, with a bar and chain at the head. The kit includes a battery, a charger, a wrench, a manual and a belt.
The motor is described as giving constant, fade-free power equal to a small gas engine, without the fuel and upkeep. The belt and wrench make the kit complete for starting work. The page does not say how far the pole extends, how long the battery lasts or whether the chain oils itself.
Who it's for
Homeowners with trees to prune from the ground, who want to skip gas and cords, will use the kit as it comes. Heavy tree work, or anyone who dislikes holding a long pole overhead, should consider another approach.
Pros and cons
- Brushless motor with constant power
- Battery, charger and wrench included
- Belt included for carrying
- Cordless, no gas
- Run time not listed
- Chain oiling not described
- Long and heavy to hold overhead
Performance notes
A brushless motor drives the chain at the end of a long pole, so the reach comes from the shaft and the cutting from the bar. The description claims power that does not fade as the battery drains. Battery capacity decides how long the work can last.
