Overview
Not a battery tool, this WORX pole saw plugs into an outlet and carries a chain on a long pole for reaching high branches from the ground. A knob adjusts chain tension and automatic lubrication oils the chain as it runs.
Corded power gives steady output with no battery to charge, and the rear handle rotates for awkward angles. The cord limits roaming range, and the listing is inconsistent about whether a battery is involved.
Who it's for
Yards where overhead trimming happens near the house suit a corded saw. Large properties, orchards or storm cleanup far from outlets should look at a battery or gas pole saw.
Pros and cons
- Corded power, no battery to charge
- Knob adjusts chain tension
- Automatic chain lubrication
- Rotating rear handle
- Cord limits working range
- Description mentions a battery, conflicting with corded power
- Short bar limits branch diameter
Performance notes
A corded motor delivers steady cutting speed as long as the extension cord is heavy enough to avoid voltage drop. Chain tension and oiling decide how clean the cut is and how long the bar lasts. Reach brings the weight out on the pole, so a lighter listed weight reduces fatigue.
